Brazilian Jasmine, Mandevilla sanderi, is a flowering vine growing 2-3m high. This evergreen shrub can grow up to 60cm per year. It’s dark green oval leaves are offset by a large, bright pinky-red flower.
It grows well in a pot indoors or outdoors but also in garden beds. It grows best when supported by stakes, a lattice or a fence. Unique for a vine it grows tubers in its root system meaning it is very tolerant to droughts. Performs best in partial shade with consistent food and watering.
