Edward Wright
Son of Angela and David, Ed was born on a farm in Exeter, England. He has spent his entire life surrounded by plants and animals. His grandfather owned a pork business in England, so Ed learned about pigs from an early age. He studied Permaculture, International Relations and Spanish. His passion for ethically raising animals and growing plants led him to start selling clumping bamboo, plants, and free-range pork. He is now the Business Manager of Bamboo Park—a plant specialist and animal lover.
Julia Aragon
Julia’s heart is split between Australia and her native country, Spain. She has been living in Australia since 2019. She earned a degree in Business Management, studying in both Spain and Scotland. With two master’s degrees—one in Digital Marketing and another in E-commerce—and after several years of experience in the business world, she decided to move to Australia to deepen her connection with what she’s most passionate about: nature.
Julia fell in love with the idea of blending business with plants and farming. As Bamboo Park’s Marketing & Advertising Director, she is responsible for clumping bamboo as well as the rest of the plants, seamlessly combining office work with nature on a daily basis.
David Wright
Originally a Biologist, David served in Antarctica for three years with the British Antarctic Survey. Father to five, David has operated many businesses and specialises in logistics, service and fulfilling promises, providing practicalities to take care of customers and suppliers. David has managed many diverse constructions over the years, from a roller-coaster, restaurant and gift shop in Devon (England) to the Bamboo House, Farm Shop, and much more here at the farm. Bamboo Park’s Founder, David takes care of more than 350,000 bees, responsible of making Bamboo Park’s delicious Lotus Honey. He also produces thousands of spray-free hay bales here on the farm. Whether it’s a sheep in need of rescuing, a tricky construction project, any kind of problem to solve, a good day’s fishing, or laying on the best full English breakfast, David is our family’s hero.
Angela Wright
From six generations of farmers, Angela is most interested in nutrient dense food, regenerative agriculture, soil health and integrative medicine. Angela takes care of the “Laying Ladies” who produce all our pasture raised eggs. Mum to five, Angela was awarded an MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to tourism and led her Family Theme Parks for over 20 years. Bamboo Park’s Founder, Angela has been a business adviser around the world, host of Queensland Small Business Week, MCd at the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre, presented at the inaugural Clean Energy Conference, and is an active member of the Farm Agribusiness Network.
